台湾桃園空港(Taoyuan International Airport)で国際線のトランジットまたはトランスファーをする場合、2023年3月31日以降発券分から空港使用料(Airport Service Charge)が徴収されます。
金額は国際線出発客と同額の500台湾ドル（約2,200円）で、航空券発券時に運賃などと共に支払うことになります。
3月30日以前に発行された航空券でも旅程の変更などにより3月31日以降に再発行した場合は課税対象とのこと。なお、高雄国際空港(Kaohsiung International Airpor)で国際線を乗り継ぐ場合も同様の措置となります。
チャイナエアラインによるアナウンスは以下の通りです。
Starting from 31 March 2023, the Airport Service Charge for Transit & Transfer Passengers at both Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH) and Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) will be collected
Please be informed that, with effect for tickets issued and travel on/after 31 March 2023, a new transit/transfer tax of TWD500 will be imposed on all passengers transiting/transferring through TPE/KHH airport with the same tax code TW.
In addition to newly issued tickets, in case of ticket reissuance against a totally unused ticket originally issued on/before 30 March 2023, passenger will have to pay subject TW tax on his/her reissued ticket if it includes a transfer or transit at TPE/KHH airport.
All other current effective rules of TW tax shall remain the same for the above mentioned newly imposed TW tax.
